Skeleton Transfer Guide

Skeleton Transfer is a tool to transfer skeleton and skin weights between any interchangeable base character assets of any shapes. It is used in the following steps.

1. Import Interchangeable Base Character Shape

The right scene always contains an interchangeable base character. You can change its shape by importing an interchangeable base character shape.

2. Import Source Interchangeable Base Character

Get a source interchangeable base character whose skeleton and skin weights will be transferred, import it to the middle scene.

3. Transfer Skeleton and Skin Weights

Transfer by clicking the "Set/Transfer Skeleton button and select the "Transfer from Character in Other Scene" option, the transfer will be completed automatically.

4. Check and Edit Skeleton

Check skeleton bones and skin weights;

Optionally match local rotations of some or all bones in bind pose to those in animation pose;

Optionally match animation pose to bind pose.

5. Export

Export an interchangeable base character asset from the right scene to disk.
