Character Convertor Quickstart

This tutorial introduces the user interface and basic operations of the Character Convertor tool.

It shows how to create an interchangeable character asset corresponding to a rigged base character in a fbx or dae file.

Used Data:

  • Input:
    • Models:
      • original Metahuman base character exported by UE 5 (this tutorial shows how to export)
    • Assets
      • corresponding deformer template
  • Output:
    • Models:
      • auto-transformed Metahuman base character
    • Assets
      • corresponding interchangeable character

If you can not get the original Metahuman base character exported by UE 5, you can instead use the Daz3D character and its corresponding deformer template in the used data.
